The degree programmes in Arctic Art and Design, Media Education, and Tourism, Culture and International Management (TourCIM) were offered also during the previous application round, and they are arranged by three different faculties. The Master’s Degree Programme in Northern Tourism, hosted by the UArctic Thematic Network on Northern Tourism and focusing on sustainable development, is a new addition to the programmes available.

Marcelo De Souza, studying his first year in the Arctic Art and Design programme, is enjoying academic freedom and different working methods: “Here I have more freedom than in Brazil. There are more options, and a student can achieve a lot as long as he is committed. The university offers a variety of classes and workshops, and the possibility to attend important conferences in the field.” Dominika Klos is soon graduating from the TourCIM programme, and she has appreciated multidisciplinary study options and projects: “We work on various practical projects with different companies, so we already start building our professional network.”

The duration for the international master's degree programmes is two years, and they consist of 120 ECTS. Eligible applicants for the programmes must have at least a bachelor's degree from a relevant field and a good command of English language for academic purposes.

The application period ends on January 15, 2018. There is a tuition fee to new master’s degree students from outside the EU/EEA countries, which is 8,000 € per academic year and equal for all international Master’s degree programmes. Students required to pay tuition fees may apply for a scholarship already in the application phase.
