Living in the Landscape (Lila) international and interdisciplinary summer schools series gathered the sixth time this Spring 2025. This year's school took place online in March and onsite on the 19-23 May in Nesna, Norway and it was hosted by the Nord University of Norway. 

Takumi Okuno, a graduate of the master’s degree programme in Northern Tourism at the University of Lapland, discussed the potential of summer tourism development in Lapland by researching the viewpoint of Japanese people towards Lapland.

On June 4-6, 2025, The University of Oulu and Oulu University of Applied Sciences hosted the 47th Association for Interdisciplinary Studies Conference “Shaping the Future in the Era of Polycrisis”.
