The University of the Arctic is inviting Master, PhD students and early-career researchers (within 5 years of the PHD award) from UArctic member institutions to apply for travel support if they are members in one of the Research Priority Teams (RPTs) or have abstracts that have been accepted to be presented during the ICARP IV Summit held in Colorado Boulder (USA) between 25 and 28 March 2025. Indigenous students from northern or Arctic member organizations will be prioritized in the allocation of the grants.

Master, PhD students and early-career researchers who have accepted abstracts and/or work in RPTs are eligible to apply for funding to cover their travel (up to max fixed sum, see table below), accommodation and registration costs for their active participation at the ICARP IV Summit.

 

To apply: please fill out the application form below before 15 DECEMBER 2024. The following attachments should be enclosed in the application:
• Motivation letter written in English (not longer than one page)
• Letter of recommendation from the MA or PhD thesis supervisor
• Copy of the abstract acceptance from the ICARP IV Summit or name of RPT
• Detailed estimated travel and accommodation costs

During the selection, UArctic will give the priority to Indigenous students from Northern or Arctic member organizations. UArctic aims at an overall balance with the selection on areas of northern research, geographical distribution and gender balance.
