Entrepreneurs, urbanists, researchers, volunteers, activists and bloggers will meet together in Siberia (Salekhard, Yamal) at the international Forum of Young Leaders of the Arctic Council Countries, which will be held on December 6-9 this year. The participants of the forum will elaborate the roadmap for future projects on the Arctic region’s development.

The Forum’s organizers received 470 applications from 48 countries. The largest number of applications came from Russia, Sweden and Finland. The team of the forum will select 100 participants from 470 applicants who will come to Salekhard to develop their projects and join activities.

The program of the forum includes discussions and workshops. During the four days of the event participants will elaborate projects at four labs:

  • Creative industries
  • Volunteering
  • Business acceleration
  • Development of youth media.

The members of each lab will present jointly developed projects which would become a part of the final roadmap of international youth events until 2023. Participants will also have the opportunity to get the expert feedback on their individual projects and obtain support to implement them.

The forum will also bring all the participants bright impressions of the history, culture, natural sites and cuisine of Yamal. ICE-members could cross the polar circle, learn more about the life and traditions of indigenous people and taste the local cuisine.

The goal of ICE (ICE - Inspiration. Communication. Efforts.) is to establish cooperation between young people from Russia, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, Canada, Norway and the USA. To reach it the forum will feature several tracks: "Business Acceleration", "Volunteering", "Development of Creative Industries", "Development of Youth Media".
