The funding is provided through a grant scheme offering approximately NOK 2,300,000, which is administered by the Norwegian Ministry of Health and Care Services. It is available for projects with a Norwegian and a Russian partner, covering a broad array of thematic areas of relevance to public health and social well-being.

The main priorities are to:
- prevent and combat communicable diseases;
- prevent lifestyle-related social and health problems and promote healthy lifestyles;
- develop and integrate primary and specialist health services and social services.

The target groups are vulnerable groups in the population, and, where appropriate, priority will be given to the particular challenges of indigenous peoples and sparsely populated areas. Further details and requirements can be found here

The Norwegian funding is channelled through the NDPHS Project Pipeline that, combined with the NDPHS Database, is an instrument that the NDPHS offers to its Partners and other stakeholders in the Northern Dimension area to help them coordinate activities in the region. Applicants will benefit from being able to use this tool in proceeding all the way from a project idea through project application to project financing. As a complementary feature, the Project Pipeline offers links to websites of several other financing agencies to assist project applicants in identifying potential financiers also outside the NDPHS Project Pipeline.

The on-line project application form is available after logging in to the NDPHS Project Pipeline.
Applications are accepted until 15 April 2011.

Please go to the NDPHS website and keep an eye on policy developments and explore the world of the NDPHS - a partnership committed to achieving tangible results!
