Jeanette McCay Pic IndoorWhen asked about her new position with the UArctic, Jeanette says: “I was excited to join UArctic in December 2007 as the Program Officer with the Office of Undergraduate Studies at the University of Saskatchewan (U of S) in Saskatoon. I have always wanted to work in the North and am also now starting an international phase of my career. So, UArctic is a perfect opportunity to learn about the northern learners and their needs! Traveling and meeting many new people will be a bonus!

In my role as Program Officer, I’ve already enjoyed assisting with an IPY proposal and learning what IPY is all about. I expect to work with lots of other great teams as we continue to develop curriculum for the Circumpolar Studies program. I thrive on new challenges and being involved with dynamic teams, so I think UArctic will be a rewarding experience.”
