The UArctic Indigenous Film Network is needed to create a new innovative academic base for film education, research and business to the Indigenous peoples in the Arctic which combines traditional storytelling, ways of living and new technology. There is an urgent need for capacity building and new work possibilities in the rural arctic communities.
