To help save the Arctic environment and strengthen Arctic communities, the UArctic Entrepreneurship Fund supports the development of new services or products in the incubator stage that have a direct benefit locally and/or circumpolar impact.
To truly solve the challenges facing the Arctic, and thus the world, we believe strongly in supporting local solutions and innovations. UArctic is committed to enhancing human capacity in the North and promoting viable communities and sustainable economies.
One way to do that is to complement existing prize funds with a seed-fund, training and mentorship program, encouraging innovation on a local level - the UArctic Entrepreneurship Fund. This will help to create a pipeline for existing prize funds and also allow for diversification in both creative products and local enterprises. The program is managed and run by the UArctic Thematic Network on Managing Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises in the North, with UiT The Arctic University of Norway as the host.
The current application round for the UArctic Entrepreneurship Fund is open until October 31, 2024.
